Located on the slope, this modern home serves as both a blessing and a curse for the architects. (fer) stands for form, environment, and research architectural firm nailed the challenge by building a West Hollywood Residence. Since the house sits on a very steep terrain, it has a different elevation as the form of adjustment. This modern house is located in Hollywood, California. Located in a very beautiful and luxurious place, this house tries to combine wooden materials as its main accent.
The two story house utilizes concrete wall and wooden slats to cover the front part of the house. On the outer part of this modern home design, it is beautifully decorated with several palm trees. Additionally, the house will also spoil the residents with the presence of luxurious curvy outdoor pool.
The pool itself is separated in two different part. The tiny part would be utilized as hot tub, while the larger part is utilized as swimming pool. You are also able to find a beautiful surface to seat in the form of a comfortable outdoor sofa.
Let’s take a look at the living room. The living room is located in the first floor. Its floor is covered by the combination of dark color marble tile and a lighter ones. One of its facade is covered by glass panels placed on the wooden frame. This living room is also equipped with a traditional fireplace placed on top of a marble surface. This gigantic fire place also serves as a room divider between the living room and the kitchen.
The kitchen and dining is integrated into one space. The kitchen floor chooses ceramic tile as it is easier to clean. While the dining room utilizes wooden floor. In order to keep the house design crisp and sharp, the kitchen counters uses stainless steel countertops. To balance with, the dining table uses marble countertops, trying to sustain the luxurious impression. This modern home design plans utilize large windows, providing expansive city view for the residents.
