Located on the slope of the hill, this modern home tries to merge the building with its surrounding nature. This house was designed by Turnbull Griffin Haesloop Architects. The house provides ultimate serenity as it is not located in a crowded area. Besides, Kentfield Hillside Residence will also spoil the residents with pretty and amazing view from the hill. It combines the view of both San Francisco Bay and Mount Tamalpais. This particular house is located in Kentfield, California, USA.
In order to merge the house with the nature, the house’s exterior is covered by hardwood materials. However, several part of it is also covered by concrete wall. The house has a flat roof which also serves as a beautiful garden. From the roof, the residents would be able to enjoy the city view from above. Such amazing view can also be enjoyed from inside the house, particularly in the living room. This modern home design has a unique shape because it is located in the uneven terrain.
Let’s take a look at the living room design. The living room is covered entirely by wooden materials. One part of its facade is connected to the inner yard, meanwile the other glass facade is connected to the outdoor patio. The living room itself is decorated with rug and modern coffee table. It also has unique statute made out of marble. Such decoration is placed on top of a low cabinet which separates the living room and the hallway.
Moving on to the kitchen and dining place. The kitchen floor and wall is still covered by laminated wooden floor. The kitchen furniture, however, employs unfurnished wood materials. It is also equipped with a huge kitchen island with marble countertops. On the corner of the kitchen, we can find a round dining table as enlightened by modern chandelier which looks like a pearl. From this part of the modern home design plans, the residents would be able to enjoy beautiful mountain view.
