Building a wood home in tropical area would be the perfect choice. Wood bears the material which manage to keep the household cool inside the house. It is very suitable for those who reside in the area which receives enough sun light all the time of the year.
This time, the house we are about to observe is located in Itaipava, Petrópolis – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This city is located 65 km away from Brazil’s capital. The house was designed by Cadas Arquitetura who name the house as House in Itaipava project.
The house plans comprise of two levels of building plus an additional basement. This home is actually intended for large family. Upon the entrance, we can find a wood home decor in the house’s front yard. The decor is in the form of decorative plants planted in the planter. Various color of plants are employed to greet the residents after a tiring day at the office.
The living room floor is covered by laminated wood floor. This living room employs a modern furniture with stripes pattern. The chairs are designed surrounding a coffee table with rectangle whole in its middle part. On the back of the sofa, we can find a pool table which supports the residents’ hobby. The living room’s ceiling itself is covered by wooden materials too. Meanwhile, the room’s wall is covered by the combination of concrete wall and wooden slats. Stone wall are employed to cover the supporting column inside the house.
When we move to the bedroom, we will be amazed at how the interior designer integrates the bedroom furniture with the house’s materials. The bed frame, for example, blends perfectly with the color of floor and wall cover. In the bed side we would be able to find an end table utilized to placed artificial plants as room’s decoration. The wood home decor ideas are varies from painting, artificial plants, up to curvy mirror in this part.
