Glamuzina Paterson Architects has creatively formed an intimate private house design with a striped sectional sofa for this modern multi-level residence named the Blackpool House which is located in Waiheke Island, Auckland, New Zealand. Completed in 2012, the design accentuates on the existence of trendy rectangular vertical structure of this dwelling as the main attraction. The vertical form was apparently built in term of adapting with the characteristic location which is hills. Black wooden washed cladding with modern flat roof appears absolutely modern and produces an authentic futuristic outlook for this retreat. Then some medium glass windows and glass sliding doors with black frames also escalate the beauty of black cladding.
Moreover, exploring the house we could find that the interior design was designed in a very minimalist yet stylish concept. A well composed private home design was done for this residence including modish furniture arrangement for each room. Wooden floor becomes alluring soul mate for the white painted wall, glazing, and wooden high ceiling. And in specific, the living room was set with striped sectional sofa, wooden coffee table and lovely kilim rug. Black book shelves and some modern pendant lamps apparently escalate the beauty of this living space.
Near the living area, one modest dining room with the kitchen appears absolutely stirring. Wooden floor and ceiling was still appeared as the best background along with glazing. The dining space has modest arrangement with white dining table and some blue chunky chairs with steel legs. For the kitchen, white tile backsplash appears so lovely with black cabinets and black marble countertop. Furthermore, in the upper level there is a bedroom which was completed with rustic wooden wall and terra-cotta painted wall. Glazing absolutely produces bright and serene ambiance for this bedroom, while modern wooden furniture enhances the beauty of the whole arrangement.
In accumulation, this modern duplex house successfully exposes the best element of modern decoration. Start from its vertical structure, vigorous cladding, until lovely interior design, all of them has amazingly presented the beauty of contemporary minimalist platform.
